A life shaped by teaching, photography, and attention to place.

I have spent much of my professional life in education. Over the years, that work has taken the form of classroom teaching, instructional technology, professional learning, coaching, and educational consulting. Education taught me the value of clarity, patience, and paying close attention to people.

Alongside that work, photography has remained a constant thread. What began as a childhood instinct to document what I saw gradually became a more intentional way of looking at the world. Photography gave me a reason to slow down, notice light, and appreciate the details that often pass unnoticed.

In recent years, I have also found myself drawn more deeply into local history. I enjoy tracing the stories behind places, buildings, neighborhoods, and overlooked corners of everyday life. That interest feels like a natural extension of both teaching and photography.

I am based in the St. Augustine, Florida area. This site is a personal home for the work and interests that feel most enduring to me now: education, photography, local history, travel, and storytelling.
